Hi there! My name is Jen. I am a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. Before becoming a personal trainer, I was a ‘coach’ in the MLM Beachbody (now called BODi). I reached a point where I couldn’t stand by, and continue to witness unqualified individuals encouraged to use pain points, shame, and guilt to give fitness, health, and nutrition advice. So I quit in 2018.
I grew up a multi-sport athlete, my first job was teaching youth sports for the local recreation department, and I still had the deep desire to help women get stronger, move more, and find a way to make fitness work for them. So, I earned my first personal training certification in February of 2019 and founded Anchor Fit Club on the very same day.
Having experienced the negative effects of diet culture myself, I am on a personal journey to challenge traditional fitness norms and embrace a more holistic approach to wellness. I believe that exercise should be enjoyable, empowering, challenging, and accessible to everyone, regardless of their size, shape, or ability.

If you want to be able to follow the Anchor Fit Club program and Anchor Fit Community Calendars as written, the following equipment is recommended:
Dumbbells (at least a light and medium set to start)
Kettlebells
Adjustable Bench
Fitness Loops
Stability Ball
Cable Machine and/or Bands
TRX and/or Suspension Trainer Equivalent
Slam Ball
Optional: Barbell and Weight Plates (Anchor Fit Club Level 2 and 3)
This program has a lot of variability, can be done at home or at the gym,requires a decent amount of equipment as you get further into the program! However, you always have the option to make swaps in the app if you don’t have certain pieces of equipment. And if you have questions, that’s what I am here for!
If you are joining us in Anchor Fit Club during your initial call we can go over what equipment you have access to and match that to which program track meets you where you are currently at.

Anchor Fit Club programming (for all levels) is 3 days of total body strength training and one day of conditioning per week.

Anchor Fit Community calendars are 7 days a week and a mix of strength, conditioning, and mobility programming.

Workout duration ranges from 15 minutes to no more than an hour. They include warm-ups and cool downs. You always have the ability to adjust the time to make it work for you.

Anchor Fit Club is for those who already have some previous experience working with dumbbells, kettlebells, and possibly barbells.
If you have absolutely no prior gym or lifting experience, I recommend checking out the Anchor Fit Community, before starting with Anchor Fit Club. In the apps private community you will have access to me to ask questions.
If you have previous experience, know your way around the gym, and just want someone to write a personalized program for you and aren’t looking for extra support or bells and whistles, then a coaching consult is for you.

Absolutely! I created the community as a place for people to connect and have a place to come to ask questions of a personal trainer and other experts in the fitness and nutrition industries after seeing a gap between online programs and fitness apps where you don’t actually have access to the person who wrote the program. We have many members who use other platforms, attend group classes and do their own thing.

Memberships auto-renew each month so that you don't have to rejoin every time a new calendar or phase is coming to an end, instead you simply get the new calendar/phase uploaded straight to your personal calendar. Of course, you can cancel the community membership any time so if at any point you're not interested in continuing on, you can simply message us through the app and we will take care of cancelling your membership!
For the Anchor Fit Club program, it is a 3-month minimum commitment and then month-to-month with a 14 day cancellation notice.
